Energy Systems Team Leader

Salary: Grade F £29,864 - £40,015 Package: Permanent, 40 hours per week, defined contribution pension scheme. The Energy Systems Team Leader is responsible for the effective management of core energy data produced by the Energy Hub, and how it is presented and communicated to the business. The role will oversee the day-to-day management of the systems team, as well as being involved in energy reporting, budgeting and forecasting. Responsibilities: To develop the Energy Hub as a centre of excellence for energy data management, and provide interpretation and communication of business energy data on a company wide scale. To manage company energy budgets, forecasts and fiscal reporting activities. This also includes the Operations Energy Bonus calculations. To ensure compliance with the Governments ESOS legislation. To supervise, develop, direct and motivate staff within the Energy Systems Team through leading day-to-day operations and ensuring implementation of all Wessex Water’s business policies and procedures. Qualifications and skills: Preferably degree qualified in Maths or Science. Significant industry experience - ideally both water and electricity, but experience in the electricity industry is essential. Significant knowledge of current EU/UK Energy Legislation. A clear understanding of energy budgeting processes and financial reporting. Experience or aptitude for managing information systems. Be able to demonstrate a close attention to detail in both literacy and numeracy. Is analytical with a curious mind-set, and uses this to produce insight and intelligence. Communicates effectively and has clear and precise presentation skills. The ability to take a strategic view whilst consulting with key stakeholders to drive a collective/collaborative approach. The ability to be effective in planning, organising and delivering key work outputs. Demonstrates the ability to work as part of a team and as a team leader. Experience of managing staff is essential. Advanced user of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel. Knowledge of VBA programming in Excel would be an advantage. Driving licence is essential.
